Equipment salvage

Matching fragment
Each affix produces only the fragment for that stat. A magic-damage affix can recover magic-damage fragments, for example.
Roll count
An affix makes one 80% roll per affix tier. Tier 1 can yield 0–1 fragment; Tier 10 can yield 0–10.
Expected amount
Expected fragments equal affix tier × 0.8. Every affix rolls separately, so an item may recover none, some, or all possible fragments.
Storage
Recovered fragments enter the persistent Forge vault and do not consume equipment-bag space.

Values are read from the same gameplay catalogs used by Worlds Worth Looting.

Skill Heart salvage

Type or affinity fragment
Every salvaged Heart has a 25% chance to yield one fragment matching its saved Earth, Fire, Ice, Lightning, or Force type or affinity.
Modifier fragments
Each non-type Heart modifier makes one 65% fragment roll per saved tier. After rolling, 3 is subtracted from that modifier's successful-roll total, to a minimum of 0.
Use
Heart modifier fragments add or upgrade compatible Heart affixes. Type or affinity fragments replace that required Heart property when compatibility allows.
